After the growing rumors the sad news became official; Peter Steele the leading figure of TYPE O NEGATIVE passed away due to heart failure. So, gather you thoughts in this topic.
What can anyone say about him. A controversial yet true figure, that was never scared to say what he wanted (who can forget songs like "Kill All The White People"?).
Not to mention that Type O Negative and Carnivore are two bands that it was "love at first sound". I'm really glad that I had the chance to see him on stage and say a few words after the show.
Oh, I can easily forget "Kill All The White People"… the title was good but just that… BLOODY KISSES is full of great melodies. Glad I had the chance of meeting him, cool guy. it is really a pity.

I'm not talking about the song, but those two lines that in fact are the lyrics of the, let's say, song.
These post probably fits better here than in the news forum… It was a time, before they released October Rust I held them as one of the Greatest livebands around. They were still good after that too but I saw some really special shows. One time at Hultsfred Festival in Sweden, they announced their last song and the crowd went nuts. Peter had been drinking red wine straight from the bottles (yes, bottles) all the way through the set and says, Naah, we're done. The crowd screamed even louder and Peter goes, ok one more but excuse me, I have to take a piss first, damn cheap wine… And yeah, it's only cool when Peter says it!
And then, another time, Type O played with Tiamat at a small venue in Stockholm. It was agreat concert and the venue was boiling hot. I went to the bar to ask for a glass of water and gets pushed around a little. There's some really cool looking guy next to me, it turned out to be Josh Silver. I get my glass of water, smile a little at him and try to leave the bar. I went head first into a wall, or so I thought. I went head first into Peter's chest… And no, before realizing what I'd done I started looking up verifying if it was a wall, all I saw was Peter looking down at me and briefly showing his corner teeth… Guess once if my face was red then!!!!
