"…My life is broke because my dreams were shattered, For so very long nothing else mattered…"
The first was a flute my parents influenced me to play… Guess it was fun because I kept it for a few years. But to the real deal! My first guitar, which still is with me was a Japanese BC Rich ockingbird from 1984, I think I bought it from a friend in 1994 or so!
The best deal though was from my Guitar Guru Jörgen. He calls me every now and then when he finds cool stuff. I told him I was after a RR-1 Jackson V, 24-frets and a lot more details… It took about 3-4 years and he calls me. I couldn't afford it so I didn't want to listen. He almost got annoyed and said I could at least hear him out. He'd just traed in a 1988 Custom Shop, RR-1 Jackson, with all the specifications I'd given him years back, white with black stripes. BRAND NEW, it had the guarantee tag and original pricetag still i it. I got to buy it for the value he bought it for, ca 1/3 of the real price! How can one resist an offer like that? I couldn't, noodles and "knäcke bröd" as a diet a few weeks and the deal was done!
First instrument? Humm… I had been given a seventies issued Gibson Victory Bass, which I still use on stage today. It looks battered and worn… but the sound is incredible. That was my first one.
