I wouldn't have gone that far with the rating for this album. This band does have some great talents, yet, the material is practically soulless. Technique is not everything in this kind of music. I would have given them a 5 or 6 at max.

i agree that technique is not eveything, but in this genre there is soul and pure love for what they're playing,it depends on what kind of music you hear and 5 or 6 does not represent the work these guys have done throughout the years,,i think you're not into this kind of death metal or you simply don't like it at all,and that's totally acceptable, but if you new what it takes to make albums like these and to create music in general you wouldn't say that.

It is not that I don't like this kind of Death Metal. I actually do. I am a big Fan of old Cynic, Atheist, Sadus and even Necrophagist. However, even Necrophagist that are way technical than the others I mentioned, have something more than what Origin displayed here. Origin's debut was pretty good, I really don't know what happened to them here.

They simply evolved themselves, they took the whole thing steps beyond,Cynic,Atheist and Sadus where pioneers back then, the point is that this ''new'' breed has a lot to give, and believe me from 12 till now that i am 34 i have heard and listened tons of crapy bands and i think Origin are not one of them. They are the new leaders of this extreme and brutal,in technique,in my opinion,at least they are loyal and not boring, like other bands like Obscura and Viraemia…

I didn't say that Origin is a crappy band, far from it. Yet, I don't think that this release is a success. Come to think of it, I liked the new Obscura release pretty much. These guys have something a little more than just technical abilities and they mix other stuff than Death Metal in their music.
