CORONATUS hailing from Stuttgart, Germany are one of the pioneers in symphonic Metal and they are in the business for more than 20 years. They play symphonic Metal with bombastic orchestral arrangements and with Folk Metal influence. The 10th studio album “Atmosphere” was was released end of 2021 via German label Massacre Records. Metal Temple writer Thomas Kumke had the chance to talk to founding member and drummer Matts Kurth, violinist Kristina Jülich, and bassist Mark Knaus about the CORONATUS journey of the last 20 years, their inspirations, and the new album.
