Interview with Ted Kirkpatrick from Tourniquet
by Michael Francisco at 22 October 2020, 10:06 PM
Just like a sworn Spiritual soldier under command, Ted Kirkpatrick and his band Tourniquet have been fighting the battle of the flesh for over three decades. Each test capriciously allows him a chance save another acid head from pathogenic ocular dissonance, when it comes to the Truth. He is able to carry the wounded onward to freedom, and stop the bleeding heart, such that the vanishing lessens, as one experiences the music and Mettle. Tourniquet just released their latest offering: "The Slow Cosmic Voyage To Wisdom". This arc of suffering and sound is a doomy sojourn into the mystery of life itself. The epic tracks reverberate where Goth and Crust descry. Michael Francisco spoke with Ted about his career, the new album, the recording of the 25 minute Drone Track, the reissue of the first three Titles, and his love, sacrifice, and service for the Animal Kingdom. Ready or not, you get what you pray for…
