Agaze - Bullshit Drama Social Media

This is the first full length album of this Sweden based band. They were founded six years ago and did a lot of singles and EPs before settling on a complete band and lineup.
They are not overly technical. They are more straight forward Heavy Metal. They took their time to write their first album and it shows. There is a lot of maturity in their music. They have numerous influences I can hear on the forefront. Comparisons have been with a lot of bands from the early 2000s like ORGY, MARILYN MANSON and ROB ZOMBIE. Those bands are considered metal but have a lot of rocking guitar riffs and overly catchy choruses.

I can say that they are Sweden’s answer to AVENGED SEVENFOLD. Though they lack that guitar technical wizardry, they do share that tremendous energy. I saw some live clips and they have a boatload of energy and it does look like a big freaking party when they are on stage. They seem to love what they do and it transfers well on the songs on this album. The lyrics are much deeper than I would have anticipated for a new band. I was not overly impressed with the last song unfortunately, I felt it fell flat and lacked that direction and energy of the previous songs. It was much more subdued and would have benefited from being elsewhere in the order of the songs.

My favorite song by far is ‘’Adrenaline’’, like the title says, its full blown adrenaline. A very good rocking song with amazing energy! The vocalist shows all of his range and his charisma shines throughout. In most of the songs, he steals the show; he’s got a lot of presence and it’s kind of infectious. This band would benefit from more exposure elsewhere then in Europe evidently. They show a lot of promise and maturity. Don’t get fooled by their appearance that reminded me a lot of the Nu-Metal bands in the early 2000’s. You can see the trees through that thick cloud of smoke. They complement each other nicely and they have a really nice future ahead of them. A band to lookout for!
