I remember in a song by
CLUTCH, a band that I am a big fan of, the saying “there are many copies around but I’m the original”. So if you are familiar with
AIRBOURNE they have been referred to as a copy of
AC/DC. Nonetheless, they are a good copy. On the other hand, I don’t want to refer to them as copy cats I would like to acknowledge them as a Hard Rock band that have some resemblance to others but mainly to
AC/DC.
This is the third album by
AIRBOURNE, after their first album,
“Runnin' Wild” that took the world of Hard Rock / Metal by storm, I thought it to be a great, then came
“No Guts, No Glory” that I thought less of it good then the debut even though it got a better commercial success.
AIRBOURNE is easily understood, fast riffing, cool vocals and catchy rhythms (did somebody say
AC/DC again?), there is nothing new on this album, its pure Hard Rock and Metal, what I refer to as Happy Metal.
Don’t miss
“Cradle To The Grave" and the album's title
"Black Dog Barking". All in all, this is a good album to have, a striking listener, however it will not change history.
