Sunset On The Golden Age
by Michael J Coyle at 30 July 2014, 6:44 PM

Prepare the rum and hang the flags, it’s time to venture forth onto the “Sunset Of The Golden Age”
After experiencing and facing the barrage of different individuals singing the track “Drink” I thought I’d start off with this mighty chant for alcoholic master class.

Many songs by ALESTORM make you chant you ass off while taking your drink of beer, whisky and rum, this song is no different though might I say one of their strongest I’m sure, this track makes you want to party and let the beast loose as you take every drop down your gullet. As well it can be noted that I’ve played this song more and more around company of friends and family just to entice the spirit of drinking unto the community, as a friend of mine would say this rack is majestic and I can agree with him on every level, without a doubt if you love to party and love to drink then pick up your horn and pour some rum!!

The next track that would catch my interest is the cover song “Hangover”, I found this very enticing as it has a very good travelling feel, an as always the band make this a part of their darkly desirably songs for the voyage ahead. It has a very funny side to it because it reminds me of a college party song that you would head on a night out or in a movie, even still it’s great cover and it still makes me laugh when it gets to the middle of the song and as such I think those looking to start a party will need his as part of a great night out.
Really there isn’t much more to say then that this album is very unique piece of piracy perfection made by a band that has brought us all a lot of joy in our spare time, the entire record shows and represents what ALESTORM are all about and that is having a bloody good time while looking great, for fans of the band that have been anticipating this release I’d say are in for a great treat as this will be both the party and irate album of the year in my very honest opinion.

The black sales hang high and the rum is never really dry for a crew of mischief are readying up to bring pirate metal up and up.

To add the band have a very big pirate tour heading our shores in the united kingdom ALESTORM’s Piratefest, for more information on this package go to their http://alestorm.net and join the party in October.
