Ancient Empire
Ancient Empire

Prepare for battle! For as the flames of an empire dim down an army is preparing for war, the legions of the Ancient Empire are about to arise ten thousand times stronger.

From listening to the first few tracks you get the familiar taste of Iced Earth influenced vocals and guitars. Heavy, fast and relentless force is how I can describe what I have listened to from this band and with my honest opinion I can’t get enough. Not only are the songs catchy and inspirational they hold the truest spirit of traditional Heavy Fucking Metal!

With every track that passes by, I feel the effort and strength that this band has put in. The passion that this album shows is beyond words, for as each track goes by you are able to hear the influence that each member holds as well as a very familiar yet unique sound to which this band has created themselves.

The vocal styling’s of Singer/Guitarist/Bassist Joe Liszt is on par with that of giants such as former Iced Earth vocalist Matt Barlow and current Accept vocalist Mark Tornillo. A raw combination of traditional NWOBHM styled singing which can defiantly be heard on the track Valley of slaughter, energetic guitar riffs and a powerful delivery to boot.

All in all I believe that Ancient Empire have brought a new flame to the torch and a new addition to the tapestry that is Metal. I hope to see more from this band in the near future as this has to be one of the most creational and exciting albums I have heard in a long time.
