Atomblaster - Earth Dies Screaming Award winner

Atomblaster
Earth Dies Screaming

It’s interesting the way new Thrash bands are releasing new material these days. They seem to believe in releasing Demos rather than EP s or full length albums. So we got a Demo by a Finnish Thrash band ATOMBLASTER. Cheesy name and interestingly cheesier music!

With just 3 songs on offer here, it’s rather easy on the ears if you are in a rush to do something else in your daily routines. “Chainsaw Charlotte” starts of in a stylish manner sounding like a Desert Thrash song (funny right?!) before going on full on high tempo giving you little room to grasp what’s on offer. But the riff driven Thrash works just fine for as the anthemic and screaming vocals mix wonderfully along with the whole music. The drums and the bass sound great and raw, thanks to the old school raw production adopted here.  It’s not too long before you find yourself headbanging to this mayhem and enjoy the intricacies on offer here. “Infertilized” underlines the fact again how good ATOMBLASTER are at what they do. It’s the Thrash that you want to show someone to introduce the genre to. The EP is finished off with another riff driven Thrash song “Afterlife” easily making any listener to air guitar and headbang along the song.

The songs mostly deal with war and death lyrically. The only critic I have here is its just 3 songs on offer and is a demo, not even an EP. So “Earth Dies Screaming” is a great start for these boys. I can’t wait for these Thrashers to bring out more material. So pic this up if you appreciate good Thrash Metal.
