Are You Ready For Me?
by Caio Botrel at 06 November 2019, 11:35 PM

BADNAME is a Finnish Hard Rock band from the city of Hartola and they play some kickass Hard Rock. The bad have recently released their newest album "Are You Ready For Me?" and that's what we are going to talk about.

The opening song from the album is the one that gave its names to the album "Are You Ready For Me" and it's a powerful song to start the material as it has great guitar riffs and it's a more direct song. The chorus is funny and it's a cool song to start an album.  "Don't Waste My Time" has this Hard Rock kind of guitar riff from the 80's and a great bass sound. Its dynamic and just a cool one. "Bunnyboy" has cool guitar riffs, but I think they should have change its dynamic a little bit as it might get boring after a while. The chorus isn't that catchy yet was alright.

"Rusty Nails" is probably one the biggest highlights on the album as it has a totally different vibe and ambiance that was created by the cool and bluesy guitar riffs that are followed by some deep vocals. It's indeed a great song. Following the highlights there's "Moonshine Road" that has a great "roadtrip" vibe and it's a killer song with a great and catchy chorus. It awesome. "Cowboy Song" starts out with cool guitar riffs that created a nice faro west ambiance. I like how the band can write this kind of songs, they sound better than the total Hard Rock ones. "Gates Of Hell" is good song and has some cool vibes as well with vocals on the chorus with the main vocals followed by the backing vocals. It has a good guitar solo and sounds different.

BADNAME have written and recorded a good album. I liked more the songs that aren't totally the Hard Rock vibe, because the vocals here are deep and low, so it fits better than the 80's kind of sound. I believe that if the band starts to work more on this "Bluesy N' Roll" kind of sound they would get even better. It's good album and I hope that it gives the band some good results.
