Bahimiron – Rebel Hymns of Left Handed Terror

Rebel Hymns of Left Handed Terror
by Jorge “The Zarto” Zamudio at 26 December 2011, 11:29 PM

Among the North-American Black Metal Scene, we could say that the number of good bands is not large; that´s the reason why releases like “Rebel Hymns of Left Handed Terror” from the Texans BAHIMIRON are always a good new in this underworld market.

A fan of good Black Metal knows that bands like BAHIMIRON are always trying to make a statement with each album they put out. This one is very different from their last release (something very, very weird if you know the repetitive rhythm of Black Metal Music, especially the old school type). In this new release we could taste raw and primitive Black Metal, washed with a very good production, equating what was intendedto achieve in order of making a rude production of the sound in “Rebel Hymns of Left Handed Terror”.

The nine tracks are a perfect compendium of long themes with some others which the duration barely is over 3 minutes, making it clear that they know how to make very worked songs in one hand, and in the other direct, without complexity, and pure fucking Black Metal songs.

The vocal pattern consists more of the Death Metal growl type than classic Black Metal vocals, it’s under the music accord to the production. BAHIMIRON begins their invasion to the mind with a highly sharpened sound of the guitars, pronounced bass and hard hitting drums.

If you like extreme bands that are not always the same, and if you’re a Black Metal fan of raw and “from hell” music, BAHIMIRON and their “Rebel Hymns of Left Handed Terror” is a work that will perfectly fit in your musical tastes.
