Doom Metal and it comes from Sweden, what else do you need to know about BELOW’s debut album?
This is certainly one the best records I have heard in a long while, pure Epic Doom Metal on the veins of CANDLEMASS but also with KING DIAMOND influences thrown in there as well, especially in songs like “Trapped Under Ground” and “Ghost of a Shepherd”.
Produced by KING DIAMOND’s very own Andy LaRocque, the sound here is perfect, you can hear every instrument perfectly without sacrificing the forbidden atmosphere proper for a doom record.
If you are a fan of Doom Metal there is no excuse in missing this album, this is without a doubt one of the best releases of the year.
