Belphegor - Conjuring The Dead

Belphegor
Conjuring The Dead
by Aaron "Five Magics" Price at 28 July 2014, 3:38 PM

Welcome to a world of darkness and chaos, a world held under fear by the dark lord himself (no not Voldemort) and a world in which you give up your women and pray for Lucifer to take them for himself. BELPHEGOR, Austrian two man Blackened Death Metal band are back with their strongest release yet through Nuclear Blast Records. After ten albums its no surprise that BELPHEGOR have a lock on how to play some incredible Black/Death Metal!

So far from what's been released the world has heard "Gas Mask Terror" the proper opening track to this album that prepares you for the destruction to come. The second song released is also the second song on the album, and the title track, "Conjuring The Dead" is really what this album is all about, strong, heavy riffs, devastating vocals and crushing drums. The two songs played most at this point from this album are "In Death" which has a strong SIX FEET UNDER feel to it, if they went Black Metal that is. The other is "Lucifer, Take Her!" a shorter song that starts with a heavy as hell riff, squeallies and some random screaming that can't be helped but laughed at, leading into the brutal main section of the track, worth a note this is also sort of an intro track for "Pactum In Aeternum" a killer closing track. Hard to believe this entire thing is played by only two guys!

All in all, blackness will take you hostage and that's not a bad thing because this is an incredible Blackened Death Metal album that's destroy your face and reassemble it for you after. With all the instrumentals doing their parts perfectly and vocals that match the style perfectly its no surprise why anyone would like BELPHEGOR and if you haven't checked them out yet now is your chance with "Conjuring The Dead" just on the horizon.
