Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you:
BLACK RAINBOWS; signed via
Heavy Psych Sound Records, hailing from Italian grounds - performing Psychedelic Stoner Metal, on their 6th studio album entitled: “
Pandaemonium” (
released April 6th, 2018).
Since formation in 2005; the quintet in question have 5 albums behind them, having reviewed their previous album “
Stellar Prophecy”; I was surprised to see
BLACK RAINBOWS return with yet another record in a short amount of time, and that is entitled: “
Pandaemonium”. 9 tracks ranging at around 45:32 - the quartet deliver an intricately designed formula of heavy-hitting psychedelic, stoner metal distinctions. Starting off with “
Sunrise”; the fuzzy sound production immediately grabs my attention, conveying captivating melodies that contrast with concrete enlightenments and mesmerizing fulfilments - the aesthetic provides fluidly organic substances which demonstrate progressively solid technicalities that are quite proficient.
Consisting of
GABRIELE FIORI on vocals/guitars/keyboards, who consistently supplies a complex slab of dexterity and grit. “
High To Hell” showcases the grandiose manifestation of diligently composed executions that portrays an efficient amount of high-pitched vocalizations, with an amalgamation of raw roughness. Crushing rhythms in the next song “
The Sacrifice”, constructing melodious attributions which distributes battering pummelling from
ALBERTO CROCE, pulverizing his mettle with determined relentlessness. “
Grindstone” establishes unique songwriting adroitness and more blisteringly thunderous savagery, the creativity to detail here results with a diligent assault of bouncy and catchy efficaciousness.
“
Supernova & Asteroids” onslaughts with a frenzied barrage of menacing bass stability from powerhouse
GIUSEPPE GUGLIELMINO, flourishing with audible loudness with next to none distortion. “
Riding Fast ‘Til The End Of Time” experiments with dynamically dominate harmonics, rampaging with epic riffs and solos and distinguished craftsmanship. “
I Just Wanna Fire” excels with meticulous effectiveness, balanced with uncompromised characteristics - that have a gripping flamboyancy to it. “
The Abyss” relished with original memorability, as the vast ramifications shows off the diverse variability
BLACK RAINBOWS have expertly invented - overall concluding the record with the elegant “
13th Step Of The Pyramid”.
Bottom line; “
Pandaemonium” is a remarkable record, it felt seamingly similar to the previous record…only with unprecedented results which had me enjoying this experience - worth discovering.
