BLACK ROSE reminds me of the nosy next door neighbour. They're loud, abrasive and yet, you still do your very best to like them. Unfortunately, you often fail and they just become annoying.
The music on "Turn On The Night" is not especially memorable. It's not bad, it's just not something that really takes hold of you and sticks in your head. What really makes this CD that hardest for me to like personally is the vocals. The vocals are very awkward and just don't seem right for this band. Again, they're not bad vocals necessarily, they're just great either. To me, they seem to really drag these songs down.
Overall, BLACK ROSE strikes me as one of those bands that you'd find in the 99 cent cut-out bin at your local record shop.
