Blackout - We Are Here

Blackout
We Are Here
by Eldad "Blacknasa" Stainbook at 21 November 2013, 4:01 PM

It’s very funny the first time I heard the album I thought the band is from the deep south of the USA, places like Alabama because of the sound, however the funny reality that they are from Brooklyn, maybe similar to the deep south just in New York.

BLACKOUT is a Stoner / Doom Metal, releasing their first album named “We Are Here”, the album is six tracks long, not much, however there are some long tracks on the album, of an epic vibe.

BLACKOUT delivers a very rough sound, it’s the sound that you will probably hear traveling swamps or bombed area filled with mud (try looking for some WWI movies and you will catch my drift), however I think that BLACKOUT misses in the album, there is something missing. Don’t get me wrong the tracks sound Sluggish and powerful over I didn’t get the kick in the balls I get from other Sludge albums, overall ok but it squandered its mark.
