Blame Zeus - Seethe Award winner

Blame Zeus
Seethe
by Jo M. Dykes at 31 October 2019, 1:15 PM

BLAME ZEUS are a Portuguese Heavy Rock/Alternative Metal band formed in December 2010. The band is fronted by singer Sandra Oliveira. The band is signed under Rockshots Records. The band's third album “Seethe” is out on November 8th, 2019. Throughout the album, Sandra Oliveira's powerful vocals dominate and turn this to a fine album for fans of bands such as HALESTORM & KOBRA AND THE LOTUS.

This highly addictive album has 10 awesome new tracks to sinks your teeth into. Some songs to listen out for on the new album are “Deja Vu” - a song that’s bold & fiery. It takes the listener to an emotionally hardcore, almost venomous, place. The song “White” is one of the album's softer tracks and is more of a soothing song than a thrash your head about type of tune. If you enjoy a slower song with as much kick to it then I suggest you listen out for “Warden” which, at 5 minutes 28 seconds in length, is a song with bite. Another great track to listen out for is “The Obsession Lullaby” which is 3 minutes 11 seconds of pure power & emotions poured into the song. “No” is another compelling track. It is a song about not taking no for an answer. With some great lyrics such as “We’ll breathe ‘til there’s no air left - Until you hear the cry - No, no, no". Definitely a song worth listening out for on the new album, “Seethe”.

The new album is an emotionally deep album with some busting guitar riffs to accompany the drum beat and strong vocals.  If you are a fan of powerful and strong female vocalists, this one is certainly an album worth exploring for you! A similar style of album as their 2017 release, “Theory Of Perception”, and the band's debut album “Identity”, which saw light in 2014. A band worth following as they seem to be on track for a big future. Since forming in 2010 the band have come far and their third studio album certainly shows the band's progress.

In my opinion, BLAME ZEUS are a band with a big future and much to bring to the table. Most definitely an album for fans of bands like TRISTANIAIN THIS MOMENT and VISIONS OF ATLANTIS. I would definitely recommend this as an album to be turned up to a high volume and blasted for the neighbours! A well written and amazingly sung album, it sits high on my list of bands to follow into the future. We will no doubt see BLAME ZEUS play festival sets in the future ass they have the songs, the lyrics and the music to pull off a good stage show!
