Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you:
BLITZKREIG; signed via
Mighty Music, hailing from England - performing Heavy Metal, on their 9th studio album entitled: “
Judge Not!” (
released April 27th, 2018).
Since formation in 1980 (
as SPLIT IMAGE, and then renamed to BLITZKREIG not long after) the quintet in question have 8 studio albums behind them, I am introduced to their 9th album entitled: “
Judge Not!”. 11 tracks ranging at around 51:50; the quartet deliver a solid slab of heavy-hitting Heavy Metal arrangements, developing concrete distinctions of old-school New Wave Of British Heavy Metal energy that has been proficiently amalgamated with that modern aesthetic with the technology we now possess compared to the 80s. The introductory track: “
Heretic” starts things off with its instrumental opening, until “
Who Is Blind” brings things full-throttle with battering savageness - equipped with hardened diligence.
Consisting of
Brian Ross on vocals, the front man provides operatic complexity with elegantly juxtaposed catchiness - to high-pitched velocity. “
Forever Is A Long Time” showcases a grandiose manifestation of consistently blistering relentlessness from dexterous duo
Ken Johnson &
Alan Ross on guitars, the riffs and solos in “
Reign Of Fire” demonstrates dynamic efficiency as they rapidly swift with a bouncy crunch to it - there is an abundance of groovy executions here that supply an organic substance in which captivate one with an entertaining experience. Powerhouse drummer
Matt Graham & bassist
Huw Holding contribute pummeling adroitness in the song “
All Hell Is Breaking Loose” which is a notably thumpy track.
“
Angels Or Demons” attributes with uniquely composed songwriting expertise that are all round dominate, converged with enlightening yet melodious efficaciousness in which distributes exquisite creativity. “
Loud And Proud” reminded me a little of
SAXON, with the lyricism undoubtedly influenced by said band - which is incredibly remarkable in the contrast of the instrumentation and musicianship. “
Without You” establishes fulfilling harmonies, as well as persistently dominating with fiercely thunderous orchestrations with the sound production being ever so fluid - splendidly. “
Wide Legged And Headless” crafted more salubrious hymns of unprecedented proportions, a considerably excellent record so far.
“
Falling Into Darkness” balanced the rhythmic characteristics with speedy thrashiness which excels with menacing enjoyment. Overall concluding “
Judge Not!” with the assault of frenzied technical progression of “
Judge Not Lest You Yourself Be Judged”; I am compelled to say that
BLITZKREIG certainly outdone themselves with this one…If you are looking to educate yourself on some uncompromised discoveries of razor-sharp formulas of old school Heavy Metal prominence,
BLITZKREIG are definitely worth the money and time - check them out!
