First things first, if you guys check out the video at the bottom of the page for ‘’Tonight We Ride’’, it’s hilarious and a tribute to the movie Point Break. It’s pretty funny and a pretty damn good song as well.

Well, I can really pinpoint a song in particular on this reissue to be perfectly honest. I had trouble writing this review because I really enjoyed each and every song on this album. Each song has it’s own meaning and it’s place on the album. It may not be a concept album but it has revolving themes about life as an adventure. They talk about biting hard into life and trying to do the best you can to fulfill yourself, your body and your soul. You have the common theme of being alone in this world, a world to explore by yourself and you’ll discover more about yourself than you ever thought it was possible.

You have various different influences on their particular style of hard rock. You have a lot of stoner rock influences and I could sense a lot of stuff coming from the last few albums from CORROSION OF CONFORMITY. The wicked solos with some stoner rock elements. I can tell they really liked bands like QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE or even older bands like THE BLACK CROWES.

They have taken elements from these bands and molded their own style. You can hear the influences but they made a complete turnaround and made it their own. I was really happy to hear about this band and felt it was a honor to review such an album, great audio production and some rocking tunes.

I can’t wait to see what the future holds for BONEHAWK! It’s bands like these that make me love what I do. They may not be very well known but they bring a lot to the table and it’s a shame that they aren’t known enough in my book!
