I will jump right to the point. This album fucking rocks, plain and simple and no holds barred. Take
AC/DC, mix in early
DEF LEPPARD (Think
“High & Dry”), sprinkle in some early
Ted Nugent, add caffeine for speed and you create
BULLETMEN. “The best Hard Rock band in Spain. Four guys that will leave you open-mouthed. Powerful guitars, crushing rhythm section and a voice full of rage and emotion.” –
BULLETMEN.
These guys just bum rush you like a mad-crazed prize fighter and never let up until you are banging your head right along with them. The album opens up with a really strange Ren & Stimpy-like introduction that the
BULLETMEN are here and the assault begins immediately. Fast paced guitars slap you across the face and a sonic boom comes with it in the form of the band at large only to be joined by the rocker vocals that only Rockstars have in that tone and attitude by vocalist
Carlos Gómez Floriano aka
“Mr. Black”.
You crave old-school in your face Rock N’ Roll?
BULLETMEN have your poison in spades. The opening riffs of
“Hey Dude” make you stand up and take notice that there is a kick ass Rock band here and they never let up. These guys will gain a fan of anyone that is or was into
GUNS & ROSES immediately along with early
AEROSMITH fans. The third track
“Sounds Rock and Roll“ makes you wait in anticipation as some wicked slide work by guitarist
Gustavo Polo sings to you only to be joined in by a song worthy of the aforementioned legends. If that doesn’t grab you, the next track
“Lullabies and Forest” is straight Blues Rock ballad at its best. If that isn’t good enough for you just yet (then you must be almost dead) then the
BLACK CROWS /
ROLLING STONES-like song
“Drunk Dream“ will finally make you succumb.
So, you get the gist here, yes? This very well may be the best Rock N’ Roll album that I have heard in too long, plain and simple. This one my friends is a must have.
