Burn The Priest - Legion XX Award winner

Burn The Priest
Legion XX
by Tiffini Taylor at 26 June 2018, 8:46 AM

BURN THE PRIEST is a band that is formed from LAMB OF GOD- actually it is the original name when the band first formed. The idea is interesting in the idea that it can be a totally different band with the same members. To suggest that LAMB OF GOD is not good enough is not true and not what this is about. This is a creative venture that more bands who have changed names should consider doing, just maybe even one album. Now onto the album, Legion XX, is a hard-hitting album that is for any fan of music.

The first track is “Inherit the Earth” hard-hitting right from the start and gets heavier as it goes. Harsh vocals with drums to meet the demand for speed. Great guitar throughout the song. “Kerosene” a fast driving guitar song will make one want to head bang. This is guitar metal at its best. It has a haunting vocal that works well with the drums. Loud and boisterous. Six minutes of metal will make anyone smile. This is a semi-spooky song that one will surly play all the time. Great song for long drives.

Another note-worthy song is “I Against I”, a nice strong metal song. This song shows no matter what the band name is these are talented musicians. The quickness and harshness is just what anyone needs in their life. “Jesus Built my Hotrod” this name just screams good song. Besides he could have a hotrod. The beginning will melt one’s mind. This is just fabulous metal. The drums will be remembered for years to come.

The last song is titled “We Gotta Know” another hard-driven song that is a good way to end the album. The drums will be surprising and the guitar is wonderful. A pleasant masterpiece. This album is harsh and in one’s face, it does not hold back on heaviness, nor should it. It is one to be added to any metal collection and one that will be envied by those who do not have it. The band shows their talent as musicians. It is fabulous.
