Burnt Out Wreck - This Is Hell

Burnt Out Wreck
This Is Hell

BURNT OUT WRECK, who brought us their debut album, “Swallow”, back in 2017, now bring us their newest album “This Is Hell” on October 11th, 2019. The new album is 9-tracks long and is a must for fans of the band. For those who are new to hearing the band it may sit well with fans of AC/DC and ZZ TOP. The band, who are on a UK tour right now, with 10 dates announced, bring us some fresh new sounds in “This Is Hell”. The band is under Cherry Road Records, and have brought forth a well produced album once again. Being 40 minutes 59 seconds long, the album has a great fresh new sound for your stereo system! An album full of new sounds from the band who know how to rock.

There are a few tracks which stand out on the album; opening track “Dead Or Alive”, for instance, comes at us in full throttle mode and packs a punch. It shows us the feel of the rest of the album, showing the pace and tempo of the rest of the album. The fast-paced album includes other song to listen out for, such as “Paddywhack”. A 6 minutes and 32 seconds-long track, it’s one of the longer songs on the album. A catchy tune about passion and the heady feeling of the chase. “Headfuck” is another song worth listening to on the album. Its opening of classic riffs on the guitar and the heavy beat of the drums gets you nodding. It's an album that deserves a lot of volume. Last but not least, comes the title track, “This Is Hell” - a song that lasts 6 minutes and 6 seconds and is a song about honesty of feeling, hiding nothing and baring all. It holds back on nothing!

In my opinion, the band have a good future ahead of them and a larger fan base to grow as they grow in popularity. Given the time, the band will reach more metallers and will be heading larger stages in then future such as stadium tours and perhaps even festival stages. A band with a big future, BURNT OUT WRECK will be a band to follow on their journey and see which new heights they will reach. As the album “This Is Hell” gains more air play, now it’s been released, I predict the band will gain a lot of new fans over the foreseeable future. As earlier said, fans of AC/DC would most certainly enjoy the music, lyrics and vocals of BURNT OUT WRECK. It will be interesting to see what the band bring to the table in the future. I would say this has been a fun album to review and I will be listening in to the band in the future.
