Can of Worms – Nuclear Thrasher

Can of Worms
Nuclear Thrasher
by Riccardo Gaffuri at 14 February 2018, 5:00 AM

French thrashers CAN OF WORMS are releasing their third studio album “Nuclear Thrashers”, out for Great Dane Records. As the title may suggest we are presented with a thrash/death work, laced with a strong obsession for all things nuclear.

Following previous “Kult of Nuke”, “Nuclear Thrasher” presents a well rendered blend of thrash metal speed along with the furious death metal solemnity. Drums and bass define the lower border of the mix, encasing it into crazed percussions and a rumbled carpet. All of this in an unstoppable march of high intensity.

“No Way Out” opens the album with furious death metal vocals and riffs to clearly show what is awaiting next; “Nuclear Violence” will tear the listener to pieces with its primal force.
“Dystopian Future” is a behemoth that will lay a thick riffed wall in front of the listener. “Strike First” introduces after an intro, chorus vocals; “Stronger than all” is an head stomping fine track, perfect for live pits.

Nuclear Thrasher is successful in rendering CAN OF WORMS hybrid death-thrash: highlighted tracks will catch on your legs and make you headbang till you rip your head apart, in a relentless push to the limit; other tracks will not leave such a sign, but, all in all, we are in front of a great work from these French nuclear thrashers.
