Here is a good eleven track release called “Before Plastic” by CAPTAIN BLACK BEARD, an incredible new old school sounding Hard Rock band from Sweden! With similar sounds to those heard in some of our legendary classic melodic Rock favorites such as Journey, and Night Ranger, with some Sleaze added in for more appeal to the younger generation, I feel “Before Plastic” will appeal to a very large crowd. With proper promotion, CAPTAIN BLACK BEARD’s new music should easily reach a wide audience!

The guys in CAPTAIN BLACK BEARD have done their homework, and they know how to create, and perform some truly kick ass Rock and Roll! The entire new album “Before Plastic” brought me straight back to yesteryear sometime in the late eighties when the Rock/metal scene was in top form, before it lost a bit of recognition.

The songs in “Before Plastic” give you the feeling of not wanting to give in to the heartaches in life. Music like this that is applied to the simple times that we go through in life helps us to conquer our emotions, and to gain power. Not only does music heal, and give us strength, music can give us the hope for a better tomorrow! Warning, some people that purchase “Before Plastic” by CAPTAIN BLACK BEARD may experience brighter days!

There are many critical reviews of CAPTAIN BLACK BEARD the band itself out there, and I must dispute some of the negativity that I have read about them out there with one simple statement, “for a band that is only five years old, these guys are incredible, and they create great music that should easily stand the test of time”!

Now for my thoughts on the tracks, I feel that the songs on “Before Plastic” are a bit repetitive, which is not generally a bad thing if the music is really good, but it may not give the feel of excitement for a lot of the more hardcore Rock/Metal fans out there. That being said, I do like the entire “Before Plastic” album by CAPTAIN BLACK BEARD, and with only a few exceptions when it came to the slower speed of a couple songs, it is definitely worth a purchase!

There is nothing but pure quality Rock and Roll here, with sounds that will appeal to younger generations, as well as those veteran rockers that would just like to hear some new, quality instant classic Rock! With some more refinement, these guys will soon rise up and conquer! Shiver me timbers!
