As soon as
“A Brief Moment of Existence” begins, it is immediate to notice that this record will be somewhat unusual and out of the blue.
A supposed Black Metal album, it doesn’t really strike as one in particular. There are a few moments on the release in which you can tell one man band
Lauri Santeri Lohi shows certain musical influences and certain elements from the Black Metal genre however I wouldn’t necessarily call it a Black Metal album.
“A Brief Moment of Existence” is experimental, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with experimenting at all but in some cases it doesn’t always work, this is one of those cases.
CHARMING TIMUR sounds like an absolute car crash in the nicest way possible.
Lauri Santeri Lohi is obviously talented and has a ton of potential, yet, it hasn’t been portrayed in the
CHARMING TIMUR solo project. Admittedly, it is a record that is very difficult to listen to all the way through without taking little breaks because it’s all a bit overwhelming.
Sadly nothing actually works for me on
“A Brief Moment of Existence” – It’s saddening to write a review and not have any positive things to say, especially in circumstances when the artist has put in so much effort and hard work but it also pays to be completely honest.
“A Brief Moment of Existence” isn’t a successful release by
CHARMING TIMUR but the artist is clearly dedicated to his music and therefore future releases may be a hopeful success.
