Concrete - zemENTER (CD)

Concrete
zemENTER
by Yiannis Dafopoulos at 08 July 2008, 2:24 PM

Don't you feel surrounded by incredibly boring bands that have nothing to offer to you and they just keep playing the same stuff again and again? That's exactly what I felt when I came across CONCRETE's zemENTER (and I have no idea what this title means).

The band hails from Austria and this is its very first release. Their biography that is written on their Myspace page isn't really helpful of what they have achieved throughout their career (whenever it started) or they just haven't managed to do anything yet.

The band tries to play a mixture of Thrash and Death Metal with some modern touches that someone could call Metalcore. Anyway, the fact is that I managed to listen to this demo CD 3 times and it was really hard for me. It seems that the band hasn't worked on its compositions as hard as it should and the result is a 5 song demo with absolutely nothing interesting in it. Especially the riffing, which is one of the most important parts in a band is amazingly weak. Not to mention the singer who needs a lot of work.

There is nothing more to be said on this release. These guys just have to work really hard before releasing their next demo CD, EP, album or anything they want to release.
