Condemned - And That's How I Found Them (CD)

Condemned
And That's How I Found Them
by Michael Dalakos at 24 December 2006, 7:18 PM

Brutal death grind from Ireland? Why not really? I recently stumbled upon a death metal band from Japan that sang in… Japanese! Hey, everything goes in this world I guess. CONDEMNED manage to impress me with their very artistic DVD case their work came along. Well as expected the artwork is blood-splattered / corpse violated influenced by but still looks cool enough.
CONDEMNED is not a new band. Since their formation in 1994 they have already released two albums (Prelude and Somebody Stop…) while they have also shared the stage with grind pioneers NAPALM DEATH, DESECRATION and VISCERAL BLEEDING. Some turmoil and line up changes slowed them down but are still alive and kicking!
This four tracks EP(?) contains some really interesting piece of extreme work. Highly technical yet brutal at the same time CONDEMNED delivers a really explosive package. Those of you thinking that brutality forces band towards lack of variation think again. Within its duration (a bit more than 14 minutes) …And That's How I Found Them if heavily packed with riffs, solo parts, relentless drumming… it's more than obvious that we are dealing here with skillful musicians.
I am really looking forward to listen at lengthier piece of work from this band.
