Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you:
DENIED; signed via
Sliptrick Records, hailing from Swedish grounds - performing Thrash/Heavy Metal, on their 4th album entitled: “
Freedom Of Speech” (
released February 13th, 2018). Since formation in 2003; the quintet in question have 3 albums in their discography so far, I am introduced to their 4th album: “
Freedom Of Speech”. Arranging an intricately designed development of hard-hitting Thrash/Heavy Metal distinctions,
DENIED deliver a grandiose manifestation of concrete songwriting adroitness and battering sound production efficaciousness in which relentlessly provides a savagely sinister amalgamation with a melodious contrast. “
Alive” begins the record, conveying a solid slab of rhythmic proficiencies which scream with blistering vocalization, instrumentation and musicianship – diligently hammering with a barraged assault of frenzied orchestrations, rampaging with unique juxtupostions.
Consisting of
Soren Adamsen on vocals; who portrays a dynamically consistent complexity of clean, high-pitched velocity - with a hint of roughness for good measure. “
Speech” demonstrates electrical, chaotic mayhem – showcasing raw dexterity from guitar duo
Andreas Carlsson &
Chris Vowden, who chug and gallop away with efficiently composed riffs and menacingly thunderous solos. “
Stay Hungry” distributes a fluid aesthetic of energetic, yet organic formulas of well-executed implementations of melodic elements and distinguishable Thrash/Heavy Metal convergence. “
Don’t You Know Me” excels with dominant characteristics; creatively balanced with rapidly swift, and memorably catchy grooviness that is all round invigorating.
Powerhouse bassist
Freddan Thörnblom pummels his axe with fierce determination and hostility in the song “
Scarred Soul”, an enlightening and entertaining track which deversed its own video for sure. Drummer
Markus Kask pulverizes his mettle with steel crushing significance, “
Domestic War” establishes razor-sharp performances which get the blood pumping - as the quartet thump their weapons with elegant contributions, attributing with unprecedented salubriousness. “
The Otherside” flourished with relishing craftsmanship; as the band executes a stampede of harmonic skill, combined with exquisite intensity that is admirably commendable and fulfilling. “
The Ferryman” is also a technically progressive track, excitingly enjoyable.
“
The Devil In Me” has some electronica-fused diversities to it, variating with aggressively explosive yet battle-hardened hymns which captivate me greatly. “
Three Degrees Of Evil” has a deadly appealness to it, while “
False Truth” overall concludes the record. Compelling me to say that
DENIED certainly outdone themselves with this one, it is definitely worth discovering.
