Dustineyes - Bullet For My Generation

Bullet For My Generation
by Yiannis Dafopoulos at 30 November 2010, 1:11 PM

This is a special occasion, not only because this band is Italian and it doesn’t actually suck big time, but it also one of my rare non extreme Metal reviews! Yeah, not that it is something that will change your life, but I didn’t have any ideas on how to start my review and this was a good way to fill the empty space. Loser!

With this promo arriving at the Metal Temple HQ and me being assigned to review it, the thing got kind of hard since it didn’t even feature any info regarding the band. No line up, no bio, nothing! Thank god I noticed some tiny letters on a corner that were the band’s website (which doesn’t work and redirects you to their Myspace page). The Italian gang releases its brand new album entitled “Bullet For My Generation” with a half head James Hetfield lookalike on the cover literally biting the bullet. Their music has nothing to do with Thrash, Black or Death Metal as I said above. DUSTINEYES present a pure filthy Rock & Roll album with an uncompromising sleazy attitude that is definitely going to please fans of the specific genre. With rocking and rolling guitars, a solid as fuck rhythm section and a vocalist whose “dirty” voice is far from your Sleaze stereotype, these Italians really know how to get the party started!

DUSTINEYES don’t claim the first prize in originality, but their MOTORHEAD meets MOTLEY CRUE attitude, along with the pretty good and strong production is nothing more or less than what you could ask from such a band. I’ll be honest and say I really enjoyed this album and listened to it several times without being bored. If you are into this punky, sleazy Rock & Roll, then DUSTINEYES is your new playtoy. Check them out!
