East Temple Avenue – Both Sides Of Midnight Award winner

East Temple Avenue
Both Sides Of Midnight
by Jordan Rogers at 07 December 2020, 4:34 PM

To the guys at EAST TEMPLE AVENUE, I’ll tell you what, this fresh out of the box album is a great way to release your sounds out into the world of melodic rock! Everything packed within “Both Sides Of Midnight” is something that is truly a delight to hear. This debut album will have you feeling all sorts of ways, pull on any strings you need pulled on by your melodic rock listening. The peace and harmony that is felt within this album is quite rocking.

“Mountain” is where we kick off this wonderful ride. A very nice guitar and drum background contrasts with the soft, but still harsh voice of the lead singer blaring out. This song incorporates a nice keyboard melody behind all of the other elements that seem to hold it together in quite an amazing way. If you find yourself caught up in the lyrics, you will also most likely not be disappointed as you will find that there is an amazing undertone of love, which I feel is something that is needed in albums of this nature.

The melody is far from over on this album. If we continue on throughout this masterpiece of song writing, we come to the song “My Last Breath”. In this piece of music, maybe you will be lulled away to sleep, or maybe you will just sit there and contemplate life. Whatever it is you find yourself doing while listening to this song, I hope that it is just as peaceful and tranquil as the melodies that are at play here. This song is definitely something that can take weight off your shoulders after a long day of whatever you had gotten yourself into.

“Forever Yours” is another song that comes to mind when thinking about songs that deserve a mention on this album. Like I said before, love songs and melodic rock go hand and hand, and this song is quite the great ballad of love. With peaceful lyrics and a catchy musical composition behind it, this song is surely must hear by anyone who loves love songs. With all of that said, go give this group a chance and you may find yourself with a new band to help you relax at the end of those hard days!
