Embrace Of Souls – The Number Of Destiny

Embrace Of Souls
The Number Of Destiny
by Seán Leslie at 08 April 2021, 7:17 PM

EMBRACE OF SOULS are a power metal band from Italy. The band was established in 2019 meaning they are a fairly new face to the power metal scene, the band is comprised of members of bands such as CHRONOSFEAR, RAVENWORD, AEGRE and RHAPSODY OF FIRE meaning none of the members of this band are new to the world of power metal. The band’s first release came in the form of a single titled “From The Sky” in 2020 and they kicked off 2021 by releasing their debut full length studio record “The Number Of Souls” via Elevate Records in February.

This album is loaded with twelve power metal tracks for listeners to enjoy. From the vocals of Giacomo Voli, to the rhythmic guitar tone of Giovanni Paolo Galeotti, the melodic drumming of Michele Omni, bass skills of Xavier Rota and the symphonic keyboards of Davide Scuteri. This album does include a number of guests from vocalists such as Michele Guaitoli (VISIONS OF ATLANTIS), Ivan Gianni (VISION DIVINE), Morby (DOMINE), Roberto Tiranti (LABYRINTH) along with guitarists such as Valentino Francavilla (WHITE SKULL) and Danilo Bar (VENICE IN VAIN) among a host of others which make for an incredible album.

This album is a concept record, the album talks of the souls of two people from hundreds of years in the past who are linked together by an infinite love and never gave up on one another, even after they both had passed away they searched for one another for years eventually finding themselves in the two human beings, through numbers, signs & dreams they will meet again.

Prior to the release of this album, that band released one of the tracks, the albums third track “From The Sky” as a single back in December of 2020 which was, until this albums release, listeners only insight into what the band would sound like and I think that track definitely encapsulates the bands sound quite well and it features guitarist Edward De Rosa who brings an incredible guitar sound to compliment that of Giovanni Paolo Galetti and in turn, the bands sound as a whole.

The following track “In The Castle” has a very different feel to it then the tracks that came before it, it almost sounds as though it would fit in perfectly in musical theatre, Giacomo Voli shows just how powerful his voice is to it’s fullest extent with this ballad style track with amazing and complimentary instrumentation behind him.

Having listened to this album in it’s entirety I can say it has a very classic sound to it that I can’t quite pin down but fans of power metal will definitely enjoy it and they are definitely a band to keep an eye out for as their career progresses
