FireForce - Deathbringer Award winner

by Aaron "Five Magics" Price at 25 May 2014, 7:33 PM

What is the perfect subgenre of Metal to raise hell to? Try Combat Power Metal, which, even though you may not know what it is, is exactly what FIREFORCE are here to give you with their new album “Deathbringer” being released through Limb Music. As a bit of a warning, Combat Power Metal is straight in your face Thrash Metal instrumentals and Power Metal vocals that’ll get you so worked up you wanna punch things.

FIREFORCE bring the perfect Thrash and Power Metal crossover, they’re even ready to give the Big Four a run for their money! With this new generation of Thrash Metal that will spawn from the release of “Deathbringer” it would be no stretch of the imagination to predict that you may begin seeing FIREFORCE on some major festivals in the near future (hint hint nudge nudge).

The album itself is front to back power! Some tracks will stand out for different reasons, for example “Combat Metal” which, if I had to guess, will make itself a live staple. “Attracted To Sin and Lust” is another great track, being an absolute perfect sex song that’ll get anyone’s blood… pumping… The strangest part of the album is the end “Gangland” a cover of the NWOBHM TYGERS OF PAN TANG whom I didn't even know people still knew, and to be fair I don't think half the people that listen to this album will know!

FIREFORCE in my books are shaping up to have one of the best albums of 2014! The perfect crossover of Thrash and Power Metal that is known as Combat Power Metal really comes to life with this album and if you’re a fan of either or both I highly suggest you pick it up on June 20th, 2014 when it will be released through Limb Music.
