Firmament - We Don’t Rise, We Just Fall

Firmament
We Don’t Rise, We Just Fall

This is a really interesting title, The intro track of Firmament was very RUSH sounding(but not like they were trying too hard to sound that way) and I really like the artwork. The music was actually surprisingly a lot better than some of the stuff I’ve been hearing. It had some prog rock aspects and wasn’t totally heavy. The next song on the album The Void was different though as it got a little heavier. It was good though, a very solid Metal track. Track three Dreams of Misery kind of boring musically to be honest. The name went well with the album art I thought, but really they yelled at the end big whoop…I’m just not very impressed cause I could probably do that too.

Track four Live In The Night was pretty good, I definitely had that garage band sort of feel I like to hear sometimes on and when the drums start pounding at 1:00 its so good! Loosing You another good name, and the intro seemed to be on point with the guitar licks. I like what the bass was doing there too, it really had that garage band aspect. Even the singer has it, I’m like wow! Do more of that! I skipped track six and went straight to seven On The Edge, which was kind of cool, not my favorite track on the album but it got the job done. I liked the guitar melody in No Future. It was halfway decent and so were the vocals on this track J.K. really seems to know what they're doing here. I just think they could probably try and use some more synthesizer in it, something to spice this track up to the next level. The final Track on the album Last Desire was very Iron Maiden at times but it had RUSH aspects still. All in all I hope they keep putting out music cause this was pretty good overall.
