FREDDY AND THE PHANTOMS is Psychedelic Rock and Blues Rock band from Copenhagen in Denmark. They were formed in 2010 and released albums:
“Leaving the Landscape” in 2010,
“Shadows Across the Country” in 2012 and a new album in January 2015
“Times Of Divisions”.
I love especially the melodic
“No Time” with amazing, strong guitars in
DEEP PURPLE style & impressive Hammond organs, Blues atmospheres, and driving Hard Rock. Also what a guitar solo! Another interesting one is “Borderline Blues” with beautiful guitars, rockin sounds of Blues and lilting harp play. The bass can attribute in a great way to
“In The Attic” which has a groovy mood and guitars in
WHITESNAKE and
URIAH HEEP spirit.
Title track
“Times Of Division” is full of older sounds, Rock 'N' roll in '60 & '70 years. Very energetic with choir in the background and amazing Hammond keys! Gentle rockin in style of
LED ZEPPELIN is found in the breezy
“Storm On The Riverside” and energetic riffs with perfect rhythmic section with catchy refrain and beautiful organs are in
“No One To Blame”. Hammond organs & nice guitars embellish the groovy
“On The Sidewalk”.
Another one powerful track is
“Morning Sun” with incredible connection of guitars and organs – that mix give goosebumps!
“Down Down Down” has memorable chorus with nice Bluesy working bass, melodic organs and fine singing.
Summing up, production of album is made on a solid level – every track is clear and played with passion. The guys from
FREDDY AND THE PHANTOMS connecting in their music elements of Blues Rock, Hard Rock and Psychedelic Rock. Highly recommend for fans of such kind of Rock and Blues! Very nice in listening.
