I think that "Ahead Of Time" is much better than the self titled debut album in 2008…Then I think that the whole musicianship is quite good and sometimes excellent (most lead guitar and some fretless bass)…The choice of Mr. Carsten "Lizard" Schulz (DOMAIN / MIDNIGHT CLUB / EVIDENCE ONE / PARADISE INC. / ANGEL OF EDEN) as the only singer is also a very smart move, as the guy obviously knows "how to sing" and had a lot of positive influence on the songs… But the songwriting itself ; that's my major problem and the other is the pretty average production…
I think it's too predictable and lack of brillance, sometimes too much AOR by number like if the Belgian band was under an unquestioning doctrine, that is how the AOR Microcosm works you should keep formatted… On the other hand the new energy displayed here is a good thing to cultivate and expand for album no. 3… Anyway obvious potential and skills are displayed and already some good improvements have been already increased… Not bad: keep the upswing.
