Gluttony - Beyond the Veil of Flesh

Gluttony
Beyond the Veil of Flesh

A very sick album artwork revealing the genre of the band made me curious about their sound. To be honest, I am not a Death Metal follower. I have my old school preferences yet I don't wish to be a biased person when it's about Metal.

Formed in 2009 as a solo project by Anders, GLUTTONY became a successful band by launching an album called "Beyond the Veil of Flesh". Consisting of 8 tracks, this band sounds raw. Like a fresh Death Metal, but this band has the theme of Gore and Zombies in them. They aren't Grindcore but they are the Brutal Death Metal to be precise.

Launching a demo digitally by Metal Fortress in 2012, this band has come up with load of ideas from 2009 to 2014. The amount of time taken to establish themselves seems to be rough journey for them. It’s a whirlpool of expectations and standards for every band to get a gig and also luck is counted. By some sheer luck, I hope GLUTTONY gets it. GLUTTONY is a very typical Death Metal but the only major positive aspect of them is they can pull out a better performance live since I could see the potential in them especially in their tracks like "Post Mortem Decapitation", "Raise the dead", "Coffinborn", "The Revenant", and "And Then You Rot" too.

GLUTTONY means hunger, which is a sin according to the whole religion. But this band has named them selves’ accurately. Greed of hunger, the mutilation of body for the sake of the unforgiven deeds by human. To be precise, this band has more concepts in their album, yet has less of power and passion. It’s suffocating for a band to struggle with their power of metal in the midst of other genres too. As far as this album is concerned, it consists of credibility rather than blasting of Brutality.
