Greedy Capitalist - Filthy Tenacities

Greedy Capitalist
Filthy Tenacities
by Marcos "Big Daddy" Garcia at 03 August 2018, 7:32 AM

Since the first half of the 90’s, due the growing number of Black Metal bands in the country, Greece started to show its scene for the entire world to see. Today, you have every Metal genre with at least one Greek name. The newcomer GREEDY CAPITALIST is releasing their first EP, “Filthy Tenacities”, although the band is now located at Mexico. They are a Death/Thrash Metal act that unleashes a violent storm of energy through the speakers. But as every new band, they need some lapidating to be in the right point, because they have guts and talent, what make of this EP a good work to hear, but they can’t rest just on it, because it’s clear that this quartet is able to do something better, something that can make your ears bleed.

On the sound quality, it’s not a bad. It’s brutal and oppressive as it needs to be, but clear enough for the comprehension of the listener. Obviously the crude scent is truly strong, and sometimes above the needed, but it’s not bad at all. The art of the cover, created by Orlando Gonzalez, shows perfectly what these maniacs are about with their lyrics. Musically, on the four songs of this EP, the band shows that it has a good future, if they can deal with their cards in the right way. After an intense intro, “Greedy Indexes” comes showing great aggressiveness allied with fine guitar riffs, being followed by the bitter and harsh “Massacre Planification”, a song with fine tempos (what means that bass guitar and drums are in a fine form). The elements heard on the past song lasts on “Filthy Tenacities”, again with a fine work on the rhythmic kitchen, and what good harsh vocals. And “Monetary Slavery” is a fine last song, brutal and harsh, but showing very good vocals.

They’re a fine band, and evolution will shape their talent.
