It seems that because of the Hard and Glam renaissance we experience in the last decade many bands that were forgotten, or were affected by the decline of Glam and Hard rock in the early 90’s, have been trying to re-release old material.
GRIND, led by Danny Simon, have been under that same paradigm, with the reissue of their debut album released back in 1993. However due to lack of luck, the album didn’t get the appropriate attention and recognition.
GRIND basically plays a Bluesy, West Coast, type of Hard Rock influenced mainly by 70s bands like LED ZEPPELIN, DEEP PURPLE and AEROSMITH. Can't say much about their music because I did find this album to be out dated for the current Hard Rock scene, yet it does resemble Glenn Hughes classic 90s albums and that is a good thing if you like that kind of music.
Overall can’t say a bad thing about the album nor I can say a good thing; it is merely an ordinary album for truly Classic Bluesy Hard Rock fans.
However for the sake of the release I will point out the following songs “Hole In My Head” which is very DEEP PURPLEis made in a good fashion, “The Hayride” that blends Blues rhythm with classic Hard Rock riffing and some nice Vocals by Danny Simon.
