Haieeta - Mvemjsun(P) (CD)

by Yiannis Dafopoulos at 09 March 2008, 3:21 PM

Even though I don't know many foreign languages, I thought that this was a Scandinavian band just because I though that the album's title was in Swedish, Norwegian or something like that. Anyway, it would be much better if these guys were Swedish, since the specific music style HAIEETA play fits more to Sweden than to…Ireland!!!

Did you ever imagine that you could find Stoner music in Ireland? To tell you the truth I didn't! Anyway, the band was formed in 2004 and has released one 5-track demo in 2006. They have already managed to support bands like ORANGE GOBLIN, END OF LEVEL and COLDWAR. How about their music? Hmmm, I think that Ireland can do that well regarding the Stoner scene.

This EP release, whose title's meaning is not something I know to tell you the truth, is definitely not the best sample of Stoner music I have ever heard. I can say that there are only six tracks in it, and I got really bored before even I listen to the half of them! Shitty production, mediocre vocals and less than mediocre compositions are the characteristics that describe Mvemjsun(P). I know that this kind of music is based on passion, honesty and alcohol, but these guys probably paid attention only to alcohol.

I don't know if these guys are worth your time, at least for the time being. If they work much harder and offer something that can be described as a professional work, then we can talk about them again. For now, try something else…
