Hearts & Hand Grenades - Turning To Ashes

Hearts & Hand Grenades
Turning To Ashes
by Jordan Rogers at 20 December 2020, 7:42 AM

Here we go with HEARTS & HAND GRENADES! Their new full length album is a true testament of rock. Starting off their band in 2012 as a cover band out of Buffalo, NY this group has surely come a long way from their roots. "Turning to Ashes" is all original work and shows just how hard this band has had to work! So without further ado let's get into some review.

The title song to this album “Turning To Ashes” starts off the album with a blast! The serene vocals from the lead singer play well with the music in the background. The two tying together in a boundless melody of pure passion. Heavy lyrics and a heavier emotional tone set this album off in the most interesting of directions. This album is surely going to be a ride, so if you give it a chance you better be prepared for some ups and downs.

“I Hide” has a much more mellow tone to it than the first song mentioned and goes to show just how much diversity this band has at their disposal. This song shows an ability for them to make a very well rounded slower pace song that still upholds the values of hard rock. Sprinkling in touches of powers in just the right places that make this song it’s very own special blend! It is truly peaceful to listen to!

“Adrenaline” the song placed directly after the last one brings in the hard rock sound with a punch! Just as you had gotten to the place of nirvana that the last song had helped lull you into, in comes this power packed song to bring you back to the real world. So much passion packed within this song it is hard to not get caught up in the sounds of the instruments or find yourself jamming along to the lyrics.

HEARTS & HAND GRENADES is surely a band that you need to give a chance! You could find something you never knew you needed.
