To say the truth, I have been bored of reviewing Candlelight's releases. The last days I must have reviewed at least 5 or 6 of this label's bands. The most negative thing is that most of Candlelight's bands belong to the Metalcore scene. HEMLOCK unfortunately belongs to the above-mentioned scene and I am truly sorry, but I won't spend many of my (and your) time on this album.
Who cares if this band has toured with SLAYER, HATEBREED and SLIPKNOT? Almost every Metalcore band I come across has toured with most of the bands this promo mentions. I don't even care about the fact that they constantly tour and as they say, have established themselves as a hard working band. That's not what I call a hard working band.
Aggressive style, low tuned guitars covered with a heavy and raw production, brutal vocals and the combination of fast and mid tempo beatdown moments are the elements that create Bleed The Dream. The band's only difference with the most of the Metalcore bands out there is that they avoid getting close to the Thrash or the Death scene. They prefer to be closer to the Hardcore scene and draw influences by bands like HATEBREED and SWORN ENEMY.
If you still haven't been bored of the bands that mix brutality with melody and create the most uninspired genre of Metal, you can check these guys out. I have nothing more to say. Do whatever you want.
