HIGH IN MIST is a female fronted Gothic Metal / Industrial band from Cavita in the Philippines. They were formed in 2011 and on 28th February 2015 they release an EP titled “Unframed”.
Opener “Your Choice” has nice stronger guitars with precise drums. The vocal are exquisite – so deep gentle & then screaming / growling like a tiger. This track resonates in a Melodic Death Metal style mix Gothic calmer sounds – really nice connection! Gentle is the opening in “Beyond Zenith” with fine guitars and fabulous working bass. Heavier guitars sounds brilliant with keys and all of these create catchy chorus! Stronger riffs with great drums and melodic singing are in “Collide”, the same sounding killer guitars are in “Turning Point” but here with screaming vocal. “Deceit” is total different track in calmer style with fine ballad singing.
Each song on EP of HIGH IN MIST is other and has difference., Here You can find growling vocals and Gothic sounds, Industrial elements, massive guitars. You wouldn't be bored, because You can still find new sounds. From powerful to sensitive sounds. I strongly recommend to every female fronted Metal fan who is interested in listening to a mix of different styles – from Gothic Metal, Industrial and Melodic Death Metal. This band has potential!
