Even though Grigoris is the Frontiers guy in this site, INDIGO DYING's new album attracted my attention and I decided to give it a try and review it since the whole info I found seemed really interesting to me. I believe that most of you that are into the melodic side of Metal will find this album equally (if not more) interesting.

The Chilean born Gisa Vatcky has worked with many well-known artists in the past. Some of them are Enrique Iglesias, Placido Domingo, Melissa Etheridge, Meat Loaf and many more. Gisa probably got bored of working for other artists and decided to start her own career with an album full of great melodies and heaviness. With a band consisted of great and skillful musicians, the female vocalist with the angelic voice is ready to convince us about her amazing talent.

INDIGO DYING features the high and mighty John Macaluso, who is known for his great work in bands like TNT, RIOT, ARK and many more, as well as some other talented musicians that have done a really good job regarding the musical aspect of this album. The totally unknown to me Mordechai Hauser has kicked my sorry ass with his great guitar work, which adapts to every moment offering us WITHIN TEMPTATION style catchy choruses, SYMPHONY X meets EVERGREY Power/Prog breaks, as well as Rock/Pop radio friendly songs that will definitely become hits.

Let's spend some time on the big star of this band. Gisa Vatcky is a great singer with great talent and the guts to show both the melodic and the aggressive side of her voice. Having the above-mentioned great musicians and a production that adds quite some heaviness with its crystal clear sound to the overall result, I predict that this band will conquer many radio stations and TV channels with its easy to remember melodies and sing along choruses.

One more thing that makes the album a lot more interesting is the participation of two famous artists, Michael Kiske (ex-HELLOWEEN) and Mark Boals (ex-Yngwie J. Malmsteen, RING OF FIRE). I have really fallen in love with Gisa's and Kiske's incredible duet. Ladies & gentlemen, Indigo Dying is a fine piece of melodic Hard Rock and I suggest you check it out immediately.
