Jaded Heart - Heart Attack

Jaded Heart
Heart Attack
by Craig Rider at 01 December 2022, 5:30 AM

Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: JADED HEART; signed via Massacre Records, hailing from the glory of Germany - performing Melodic Heavy Metal/Hard Rock, on their 15th full-length studio album entitled: "Heart Attack" (released October 14th, 2022). Since formation in 1986 (as TAX until 1990); the quintet in question have a mighty 15 full-length studio albums in their discography so far, and a compilation album for good measure. 11 tracks ranging around 49:27; JADED HEART arranges an intricately designed formula on some heavy-hitting Melodic Heavy Metal/Hard Rock amalgamations.

Opening up with this rampantly rompy rhythm; a bulldozing calamity within the sturdy thud of “Blood Red Skies” rifts with reverberating remedy, while amplified adrenaline boisterously bounces with wildly rushing synergy & sonically seamless revs that pierces through you with razor-sharp tonality. Sublime volatility unleashes this ethereal element in harmonic density; flamboyantly fabricating a choppy crescendo with solid slabbiness of solo raising momentum, ramified with uniquely versatile vehemence amongst a creatively complex conundrum in instrumental crunch from dexterously dynamic guitar duo Masa Eto & Peter Östros. Both twin their shredding mobility with organic substance & riveting melody that rips with skyrocketing zeal whilst mellifluous euphonics excels with profusely robust tightness, where punchline trailblazing tactics soar with vibrantly potent stability to boot.

Sweet Sensation” has a catchy fluidity embedded; as vocalist Johan Fahlberg attributes at a high-pitched yell on throaty shous that screams with old-school Heavy Metal trait, very much sounding similar to that of STEEL PANTHER’s Michael Starr which makes me feel as if SAXON’s Biff Byford and he both fused together. The titular track “Heart Attack” belts a clobbering foundation in borderline fervor; reveling with vivacious execution and concretely gritty strikes that pursuit with razor-sharp smacks that thunder with rambunctiously piledriving raze from hammering drummer Bodo Stricker. Slamming the set with steely precision & pummeling pounds; this maelstrom remedy slays with grinding impulse amongst a flexibly fundamental gallop in which throttles with towering yet sulphurous spectrums on chunky heft, firing all cylinders all the while thrashing with all guns blazing agility that’s most moving.

Harvester Unknown” forges a hybrid experimentation in fierce firepower expertise that’s most groovy; injecting an infectiously venomous thump from audible bass flickerer Michael Müller, who relentlessly rumbles speakers with tremoring clamour and distinctively distinguished echoes that showcases quaking perseverance with weighty skill that’s vigorously rigorous for good measure. “Lady Spider” systematically slithers through you with persistent stridency; striding through with meticulously salubrious technicality whilst strong songwriting musicianship surges momentously with primitively raw steadiness that makes this listening a killer yet sophisticated rocker so far. “Descent” is an 8:07 rager; morphed with stampeding rampages while effervescent buoyancy blisters eardrums with rollicking spheres of groundbreaking finesse in rigged ruggedness & radically wicked yet ravenous talent, an engaging frolic arms a brimming dose in adapt compactness - which synthetically flourishes a barrage frenzy in chugging hymns that thrives with thrilling jumpiness to boot.

Rapidly swift nimbleness portrays prominent yet and impactful pandemonium whilst renegading with upbeat cadence and up tempo pulsation; “Remnants Of Before” materializes with tenuous tremolo vivacity & snappy fervor, advancing into the utmost memorability of the captivating tracks “Right Now” which follows into the pleasing, fan live favourite: “It’s About Time”. Both capture tuneful swirls of speedy yet heavy immensity; as an inventive collapse chops through with smashing drive and singsong aesthetics in which relishes with revolving overarches in brisk but heady thrust, manifesting with unique yet methodical sound that swings with savage fortitude for good sport. The penultimate banger “Bridges Are Burning” has a darker but moody tone to it; indefinitely profound within the closing epic “Midnight Stalker” where both finishes the record off with tenacious valour for a more mountainous offering in bleak but dissonant forcefield of thick yet ponderous musical wrath that’s rather splendid the more you listen.

Bottom line; I am compelled to say that JADED HEART most surely outdone themselves with this one, “Heart Attack” divulges intensely with re-playable spins & an enjoyably entertaining discovery in Heavy Metal monument that most definitely deserves experiencing should you fancy a molten metal meltdown of progressive yet listenable intrigue, do check it out.
