Outlaw Son

There is something that should be said about JEROME MAZZA’s new album “Outlaw Son”, which is it is absolutely gorgeous album. “Outlaw Son” out now via Escape Music LTD, is every AOR/ melodic hard rock junkie’s wet dream. JEROME MAZZA and company bring a seemingly simple approach and execute with mammoth sounds and an abundance of conviction. “Outlaw Son” is a sleeper album that should not be overlooked.

Neverland” sets the tone for the entire album. Like a fine wine, “Outlaw Son” is the result of mature yet classy sounds accented with amazing vocals. “The Dark Side” is a short and sweet gem that can take me to the dark side, because I know they will have righteous tunes just like this one. Going through a funk? Take a listen to “Streets of Fire” and become rejuvenated. The guitars are sure to grab the listener, however, the vocals will hook the listener.

Another stand out track is “The Last Goodbye”. With a slightly prog side, it was easy to enjoy the crunchy and thick guitars mixed with angelic soundscapes. Continuing with the classy theme is “Song for the People”. Which manages to sound punchy with perfect vocals by JEROME MAZZA. “Save the Best ‘til Last” is sure to be a fan favorite. Slightly modern, and I mean, slightly, this song is a definite earworm. Arguably the best song on the album.

Getting to the later half of “Outlaw Son”, and things just keep getting better. “Crossfire” is a memorable instant classic that lifts the spirit. Just like the title would suggest, “Calm before the Storm”, is just that. There are peaks and valleys of greatness. Title track “Outlaw Son” is another shot of energy that would be best observed cruising down the highway with the top down. “Unfinished Business” is a perfect end with funk and groove.

JEROME MAZZA’sOutlaw Son” is sure to be underrated. However, this album deserves to be listened to. Three words that best describe “Outlaw Son”: inspirational, passionate, and heart warming (ok maybe four words). This is another one of those “chicken soup for the soul” type of albums. “Outlaw Son” is for fans of AOR and melodic hard rock and is sure to be the sleeper hit of 2019!
