Back to square one… This could have been an alternative at the title for this album, because after a few low key solo albums, the leader of SILENT RAGE is back for good, with a fresh refined attitude and a strongest focus on the songwriting quality and on the huge stadium choruses, which made him famous back in the days. He still possess a good range and a warm voice like Paul Shortino meets Dave Meniketti, and a few hot & cool guitar chops.

The new revamped line up is also very solid, with high profile players such as Eric Ragno (BONRUD / ex-TAKARA / ex-AMERICAN ANGEL / ex-CHINA BLUE / ex-TALON) on keyboards that spread some magical layers all over this recording, and EDEN’S CURSE / TAINTED NATION’s Pete Newdeck on drums and backing vocals and to complete the picture none less than Paul Sabu (ONLY CHILD) himself, acting as co-writer / producer, Bass player and backing vocalist.

Opening track “Garden Of Eve” or “I Need You Forever” are indeed fine tracks with a straight and a real catchiness in the melodic section, very much in the Americanized style displayed by WHITESNAKE in their golden airwaves era with also some EYES / HOUSE OF LORDS / GIUFFRIA commercial flavors, only tiny low point, the otherwise pretty good tune “Black Widow”, which is based on the same chords progression as “Shot In The Dark” popularized by Ozzy out of the smash album “The Ultimate Sin” of 1986, this is the only fault for this highly enjoyable collection of Easy listening Hard Rock songs in the key of the 80s. His career was full of intense moments of glory, as his numerous collaborations with the infamous Gene Simmons of KISS fame, or the hard rotation on MTV for the SILENT RAGE hit-singles video clips, now it’s time for this great Californian singer / guitar player to succeed and to be on the rise up again… This album “Temptation In The Garden Of Eve” is clearly a step in the right direction
