In the world of Metal, there are few who don’t know the name
JUDAS PRIEST. They are without a doubt one of the highest revered names in the scene, and it’s no wonder why. They been around for years and are certainly masters of Metal. Hell,
Rob Halford is called the god of metal.
Well Metal Heads here it is, the new album
“Redeemer of Souls”, jam packed with the classic metal amazingness that got the
PRIEST their highly regarded status.
Rob’s voice has not changed a bit, he’s still got it, and they still rock it. Let the children bang their heads!!
The album doesn’t waste any time with an intro, they just get strait to the Metal. It doesn’t have to be speed metal to be awesome, this cd is a mastered work of art that just captures the raw essence of everything that Heavy Metal is supposed to be. It’s an instant classic, complete with sick phuking riffs, perfect drum licks,
Halford’s amazing vocals, and an overall sense of perfection! Yes perfection, but who expected any less?
“Halls of Valhalla”, the second track on the album is the perfect representation of what I just described. It has some amazing guitar work and great Viking lyrics. It’s the song that got stuck in my head and would NOT leave. This song is not per say better than the other songs on this album, but it definitely helps set the overall tone.
The melodies are catchy, the elements are all there. Any fan of
JUDAS PRIEST should give this one a listen. I mean you can’t help but to be entranced in the music. The music takes the listener on one hell of a journey. There are a few bonus tracks included as well, giving us an 18 song track list, and it’s a good thing too because, even as much as I like the number 13, that’s not enough. It leaves you wanting more.
It might just be me, but I absolutely love
“Redeemer of Souls”. It is a professional, and perfectly composed album.
Metal Heads go out, by this album, then get your asses to the show!
