Magna Vice - Serpent Of Wisdom

Magna Vice
Serpent Of Wisdom
by Moshe Morad at 14 October 2013, 4:57 PM

MAGNA VICE portrays a nice story on this album about a man called Edward 'Earl' Diamond that suffered from hallucinations. As the album progresses, Diamond realizes that the help is right there in front of him, yet he must break himself free from yesterday’s chains. The songs are clearly showcasing the happenings, events and turmoil of whatever happened to this forsaken individual.

As far as their music goes, this band shows signs of notable progression, crossing inspirations with what appeared to be DREAM THEATER and LED ZEPPELIN. “Serpent Of Wisdom” the band’s debut, and as you can probably notice there are vintage Rock proximities of the early LED ZEPPELIN fame. Traces are evident within “Hope You Find Your Way Out”. As a listener that takes pleasure in progression, it was a decent listener, yet also quite disappointing. It has its power moments, yet also it faltered.
