M.A.N - Peacenemy (CD)

M.A.N
Peacenemy
by Yiannis Dafopoulos at 22 August 2008, 11:52 AM

I had the chance to listen to the band's previous album and I admit that I was amazed by the power and the energy these guys could produce. After all it is natural for experienced musicians like the ones that form M.A.N. So, if you are into the modern sound of Metal, then you can count on this band to satisfy your needs.

The band was formed out of the ashes of the Swedish Metal band TRANSPORT LEAGUE, releasing its debut album Obey, Consume, Reject in April 2007 through the Swedish label Gain. Showing their true intentions straight from their first release, M.A.N inked a deal with Tiefdruck to release their sophomore effort Peacenemy.

Drawing influences from bands like MUDVAYNE, PRONG, SOIL and AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE, the Swedish metallers manage to combine aggressive modern Heavy Metal with Nu Metal elements to create a nice and catchy music that will definitely draw your attention. There are no amazing riffs in here, since this kind of music is mostly based on its catchiness, but this band has a rhythm section that crushes bones with its precision. Not only this, but this band also has a destructive weapon that is widely known as Tony JJ. The ex MNEMIC singer shows that he didn't lose time and formed his brand new chariot that will melt your face with its destructive energy.

Fans of modern hearings and groove will definitely find something interesting in Peacenemy. Especially if you are a fan of Nu Metal and you think that this scene has some time to offer something good, then M.A.N is the band that will melt your face. Check them out!
